A GOD OF PERFECT SUFFICIENCY ... THAT'S MY KING ... LET THE SCHOOL BELLS RING!!!!

"And God shall make EVERY grace abound to you, so that having ALL sufficiency in ALL things at ALL times, you may abound in EVERY good work!"  2 Corinthians 9:8

This may well be the verse you see on every post from me for the foreseeable future because it so perfectly describes who God has proven Himself to be for those of us in the Mission Mbale family.  Thanks to all of you who have allowed yourselves to be His vessels through which He has provided His PERFECT SUFFICIENCY during 2018 which has been a year of absolutely unbelievable accomplishments on the mission field in Mbale, Uganda.

We began the year celebrating God's faithfulness in 2017 that included His provisions to place security fencing around the 10+ acres of farmland which unbeknownst to us would soon house the shell of what would, in God's perfect timing, become the home of Grades 1-3 of Ebenezer Christian School. This beautiful plot of creation also included two buildings which would eventually become the permanent homes for the 30 orphaned and at-risk children who had spent the past two years of their lives calling a 40' x 40' tent their home.  Yes, much was accomplished in 2017 but God was apparently just warming up as 2018 has truly been a year of Jubilee as He has allowed us to experience over and over those "great and mighty things which you knowest not" that are talked about in Jeremiah 33:3.

I will be sharing more of the details of this amazing year of ministry in our year-end newsletter but just let me wet your appetite by saying that we now have a 30-passenger school bus, a 40' x 40' tent that no longer contains bunk beds, and even as I write the forms are being constructed to begin pouring the slab which will become the roof of Ebenezer Baptist Church's new 750 seat sanctuary!  Christmas is going to be a very special time in the Namatala Slum as the village gathers in the new church to celebrate the birth of the King of Kings!

Today though, I want to talk about one very special blessing that was bestowed upon the ministry by the beautiful people at the Healing Hands Foundation of doTERRA Essential Oils.  This generous organization first reached out to partner with Mission Mbale in September 2017 when they sponsored the first of two $10,000.00 Matching Grant Campaigns.  It was through the initial campaign that almost $35,000.00 was raised which provided the security fencing and completed the work on the permanent homes for the children.  However, the campaign was so successful that we were able to complete the shell of Phase 1 of Ebenezer Christian School and today's post is the story of how that miracle continues to unfold in 2018.

As we entered 2018, we had already recognized that God had some extraordinary things in store for us as First Baptist Newnan GA had chosen to partner with us to help begin the process of

building the permanent sanctuary for Ebenezer Baptist in Mbale.  Plans were in place for the first of several fundraisers at the church to be held during the month of April and as a result our board made a decision to postpone the finishing of the school until after the church-build promotions were over.  However, we never ceased praying and trusting that our God of PERFECT SUFFICIENCY would prove Himself faithful for everything we would need to resume the push to have the school ready for a February 2019 start and WOW did He ever provide.

The last scheduled fundraiser for the church-build took place during the month of August and in the first week of September we received word from doTERRA that they wanted to partner with us by offering a second $10,000.00 Matching Grant to help prepare the school for the scheduled February opening.  This is a very, very rare thing for the Healing Hands Foundation to do a second Matching Grant Campaign ... but God knew our needs!!

I began this post by talking of  the PERFECT SUFFICIENCY of the God which we serve and I conclude by giving you the bottom line numbers of where we ended the campaign in which almost $12,000.00 was given during the month-long campaign.  As the campaign drew to a close we sent an email to Julius, the General Secretary/Executive Pastor of Ebenezer Baptist, requesting an itemized cost projection to get the school ready for the February opening.  Although their will still be some non-essential work such as completing the tiling of the bathrooms and the installation of solar lighting and an emergency back-up generator, the cost to get the school ready for the start of school on February 7 is going to be $21,396.00.  The doTERRA Matching Grant Campaign netted a total of $21,425.00 ... MORE THAN ENOUGH! That's my King!!! HALLELUJAH!!!! And ALL the time God is good!!!

ALL FOR HIS GLORY!!!
