It seems that God is in the business of making sure we know He is going before us! And as Mary Faye and I left First Baptist Church Newnan with the seventeen beautiful people that HE ordained to make up the Mission Mbale 2018 Summer Mission trip to Uganda, He wasted no time in beginning to prove it!
After a beautiful prayer Pastor Jimmy, we began our journey to the airport with 55 checked bags, 38 carry-ons and 19 very excited Kingdom Warriors. As we began unloading at the airport, Delta employees began assisting and guiding us to where we should go. This is where the "EMMANUEL---GOD WITH US" really started to kick in because when we arrived at the check-in counter we were greeted by the smiling faces of Jesus and Angela. They truly were angels sent from above because we had an absolutely beautiful experience and were in no time headed to the security gate where everyone passed through without a single person being stopped or questioned.
The journey continues...we are now sitting at Gate A-46 in the airport in Detroit waiting for the call to start boarding when we heard this announcement instead..."Attention all passengers waiting to board Delta Flight 134 for Amsterdam, your flight has been delayed for one hour due to the plane's late arrival of the incoming flight from India."
Obviously whoever made that announcement didn't know God was controlling the flight schedule for us because in just a few minutes after the first announcement the speaker roared to life again informing us that boarding was about to begin. To sum all of this up in a neat little "I Told You So" from God, we got on the plane and the Captain announced that we would be arriving in Amsterdam a few minutes ahead of our previously scheduled landing time! My friends, that's the God WE serve...GOD WITH US!
And we've only just begun this journey...please stay tuned for the rest of the story! MISSION MBALE 2018--JULY 18-29!
AND ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD!!!☺
ALL FOR HIS GLORY!
Team Mbale 2018
