Home Sweet Home

We made it! We’re here! After a long journey, we arrived in Mbale before lunch today and received an incredible welcome from our family at Ebenezer, a welcome home for those of us who have come to Uganda before. And our newest teammates are learning just how easy it is feel at home here, to take children by the hand, link arms with our brothers and sisters at Ebenezer, and to be about God’s work in the village.

This evening our team split up and traveled in small groups to the houses of church members to have Bible studies.  It was such an honor to be invited into their homes and such an incredible joy to minister to their neighbors along with them. Without any extensive discussion, planning, or preparation on our part, the Holy Spirit led each of these groups to focus specifically on the Gospel as the central message of the lessons. Not one of us referenced the same exact scripture or Bible story, but we all came to the same beautiful conclusion, Jesus.  We can truly testify to the supernatural way God is unifying our team together and with Ebenezer, and lives are already being changed forever, with many receiving Jesus as their Savior today! God is working in our midst and we can’t wait to see what He will accomplish over the next week!
